Director of Contemporary Music
D. Edward Davis is a composer who lives and works in Durham, North Carolina where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Composition from Duke University. His music (electronic and acoustic) has been performed both in the USA and internationally by a wide variety of performers.
Yi-Fang Huang is the founder/faculty at the Orford’s instrumental collaborative piano workshop. She is also a viola teaching assistant to Heidi Castleman and repertoire coach at The Juilliard School.

Paul Katz is known to concertgoers the world over as cellist of the Cleveland Quartet, which during an international career of 26 years made more than 2500 appearances on four continents, in all of the music capitals, great concert halls and music festivals of the world.
Pei-Shan Lee, originally from Taiwan, in high demand as a duo and chamber music partner, has toured the world in recitals with artists from America’s leading artist managements: ICM Artists, Columbia Artists, Concert Artists Guild, Astral Artistic Services, and Young Concert Artists.
With performances described by The New York Times as “breathtakingly beautiful”, violinist Sean Lee is one today’s most talented rising artists. Lee also performs at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center as a CMS Two Artist and serves as teaching assistant to Itzhak Perlman at The Juilliard School.
Ron Leonard, cello faculty at The Perlman Music Program and professor at the USC Thorton School, has had a distinguished career as a soloist, chamber musician, principal cellist and teacher.
Currently a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division, Li Lin has taught at San Francisco Art Center and Eastman School of Music Suzuki Program, and has produced numerous students earning the highest level of achievements.

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, violist Adam Meyer is an equally devoted chamber musician, teacher, and arts administrator. Adam is also the founding violist of the New York City based Bryant Park Quartet.

Merry Peckham, cellist, is a founding member of the Cavani String Quartet winner of numerous awards and prizes including the Naumburg Chamber Music Award.

Undeniably the reigning virtuoso of the violin, Mr. Perlman leads PMP’s all-star faculty, teaching each violin student during the Summer Music School and the Sarasota Winter Residency and coaching chamber groups during the Chamber Music Workshop.
As Director of The Perlman Music Program, Toby strives to help talented young musicians mature as artists and as well-rounded individuals in a noncompetitive, creative, and supportive environment.
Viola
Since making her solo debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra as a teenager, violist Carol Rodland has established an international career as a concert and recording artist and pedagogue.
Mr. Romano received his B.M. and M.M. in voice and conducting at West Chester University in West Chester, PA. Upon graduation Mr. Romano was hired to be tenor soloist in the internationally renowned early music ensemble, The Waverly Consort. While with the group he performed in concert series at Alice Tully Hall, The Cloisters and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
John Root is currently the collaborative pianist for the studio of Itzhak Perlman at The Juilliard School. Mr. Root also works as a freelance artist in the New York area.

Peter Salaff, Director of String Chamber Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music, was a founding member of the Cleveland Quartet, with whom he has received seven GRAMMY Award nominations, a GRAMMY award, and “Best of the Year” awards from Time and Stereo Review for recordings of more than 50 chamber works on major labels.
Chamber Music Workshop Faculty
Roger Tapping becomes a member of the Juilliard String Quartet in the summer of 2013. From 1995 until 2005 he was a member of the Takács Quartet since when he has taught viola and directed Chamber Music at the New England Conservatory.

Donald Weilerstein has concertized extensively as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world. He studied at The Juilliard School with Ivan Galamian, Dorothy Delay, and members of the Juilliard String Quartet, and was honored at graduation by the National Foundation of the Arts as an outstanding graduate of the school.

Vivian Hornik Weilerstein has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world and is a frequent collaborator with many of today’s most eminent artists and ensembles. She has appeared as a soloist with the Kansas City Symphony and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale di Torino, and has toured throughout Europe and Japan.
