Li Lin currently holds a Professor of Violin position at The Juilliard School in New York City. Previously, he taught at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for 20 years.

Li has produced numerous students earning the highest level of achievements, including top place winners at the Menuhin International Competition, Louis Spohr International Competition, Stradivarius International Competition, Sarasate International Competition, Wieniawski International Competition, Tchaikovsky International Competition and Young Concert Artists. His students have collaborated with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Yuri Temirkanov, Peter Csaba, Joji Hattori, John Helmer Fiore, Yan Pascal Tortelier and musicians from Philharmonia Orchestra, St. Martin in the Fields, London Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Boston Pops, Salt Lake City Symphony, Sinfonia Cymru, Staatskapelle Weimar Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfonica De Navarra, Peking Sinfonietta, China NCPA Orchestra, and China Philharmonic.

Li was born in Guang Zhou, China and began playing the violin at the age of six. He studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Eastman School of Music. He discovered his passion for teaching in his early 20s and has never stopped since. He is in demand as a guest clinician and a masterclass artist at music schools and festivals in North America, Europe and China.
